Eid ul Fitr 2026 Celebrated Across Pakistan with Prayers for Peace and Unity

Pakistan marked the joyous occasion of Eid ul Fitr on Saturday with religious fervor, as millions gathered for congregational prayers and festive celebrations amidst calls for global stability.

The day started with those early morning prayers, you kn͏ow, the ones held at thousands of mosques, Eidgahs, and just open grounds all over the country. In big citi͏es, such as Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, the vibe was all about being thankful and being together. Scholars and religious leaders gave sermons, and they were mostly talking about the spiritual core of the festival, telling everyone to keep up the patience and self-control that they learned during Ramadan. And they said special prayers for Pakistan to get better and for the Muslim Ummah to be safe.
President Asif Ali Zardari, he said in a message that Eid it is like a reward for being devoted during Ramadan. He made the point that the day is there to remind everyone to begin a new spiritual life and focusing on helping Allah and being morally pure. The President also talked about how important it is for the country to be united as a nation, that the constitution needs to be number one, and that the rule of law is vital, and he pointed out, that keeping the country stable is something everyone has to take responsibility.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, he also echoed these sentiments, and extended his greetings to Muslims both at home as well as abroad. He made sure to highlight the importance of supporting those less fortunate, mentioning how the government enhanced digital wallet systems, all so they could provide financial aid to vulnerable citizens.
