Pakistan's tough action: Afghan Taliban drone attacks fail
Pakistani security forces destroyed Afghan Taliban drones in mid-air. The debris from these failed attacks injured four civilians, including two children, in Quetta, Kohat and Rawalpindi. The Pakistan Army has categorically announced that it will continue ‘Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq’ with full force until terrorism is completely eradicated.
Target of terrorism and the response of the Pakistan Army
Pakistan's armed forces on Friday night repulsed a cross-border insurgency. The Afghan Taliban sent drones to target specific targets inside Pakistani territory. Security forces used electronic countermeasures to destroy them en route. The timely action prevented any major damage. The Ministry of Information confirmed that none of the drones hit any military or civilian installations.
The ISPR termed these attacks as a conspiracy to spread fear and panic among the people. This cowardly act exposes the terrorist mindset of the Afghan Taliban. On the one hand, they garner sympathy from the world. On the other hand, they attack innocent civilians through their proxies. The Pakistan Army has made it clear that it understands the real intentions of this mercenary terrorist militia.
The Ministry of Information termed the claims of the Afghan Ministry of Defense as false propaganda. The Taliban regime sponsors terrorist organizations like ‘Fitna al-Kharij’ and ‘Fitna al-Hindustan’. They also recently spread false news about downing of Pakistan Air Force planes, which they later deleted themselves out of embarrassment. Meanwhile, the Civil Aviation Authority rejected the rumors of the closure of Islamabad Airport. The authority fully restored the flight schedule and continued uninterrupted.
